Interventional sonography training system (iSonoSim™) provides specific medical training to novice doctors on mastering ultrasound-guide puncture skills without putting the patient health at risk. This is the most effective tool for interventional ultrasound skill acquisition. The users will be trained in:

in-depth sonographic anatomy understanding

ultrasound target image recognition

hand-eye coordination on in-plane or out-of-plane approaches

haptic sensation of puncture in the realistic soft tissue simulation

through a series of simulated ultrasound-guided puncture procedures under use of real devices and equipment with high fidelity clinical realism. The iSonoSim includes a series of simulated puncture procedures such as:

abdominal lesion scanning

solid organ tumor biopsy

transhepatic portal access

percutaneous renal access

biliary access

In every training session, the user's performance is recorded in terms of target hit rate, visibility and plane-angle information etc; every past result can be reviewed through the interface. Individual skill training, mentor-based training and class-based training can be easily adopted.
